The book is dedicated to all Škoda Octavia cars from 1959 to 2020. The first Octavia was created in January 1959 by modernizing the Škoda 440. The production of its basic version ended in the spring of 1964, but the station wagon career continued until December 1971.
In the summer of 1996, the first modern Octavia debuted, a symbol of the rise of the Škoda brand within the VW concern. It was produced for a full fourteen years, starting in the spring of 2004, concurrently with the cars of the second generation. The competitive Octavia WRC also became famous in the World Rally Championships between 1999 and 2003. The third-generation Octavia (2012-2019) stood out for its elegance and modern technology, just like its successor presented in November 2019.
